About the Pediatric Critical Care Unit Leadership Opportunities:
As a result of the Pediatric Heart Center growth, there are leadership opportunities available in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit. Our current 20 bed ICU is expanding to 26 beds within the next several months and we are looking for experienced, dynamic cardiac nursing leaders to join our growing team.
Associate Administrative Nurse Manager (AANM)
Pediatric Critical Care Unit supports and collaborates with the Nurse Manager by coordinating day to day operational activities. The AANM will be accessible 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Functions when necessary as Charge Nurse and acts as a clinical resource to the staff to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, research and evidenced based expert nursing care to patients and families. Participates in committees, unit and hospital based projects. This includes assisting the Administrative Nurse Manager with maintaining unit specific standards of practice and participating with the staff development, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs, and services
Patient Care Coordinator - (Registered Nurse)
NYS Registered Professional Nurse License required. Registration and BSN required. Must have at least five years of clinical experience, two of which must be in the specialty or related service, or a combination of education and experience acceptable to the Clinical Director of Nursing. Must have proven clinical leadership abilities, problem-solving skills, and be able to uphold the competencies and principles of Montefiore Excellence. Will monitor the performance of Nursing Associates in maintaining MMC (Montefiore Medical Center) standards of practice in nursing. Will collaborate with the Administrative Nurse Manager in coordinating and implementing the various resources needed to provide patient care services for designated units. Certification preferred.
