DESCRIPTION

The Multicultural Marketing Manager will report to the Director of Marketing Operations and be located in Comcast's Houston Region. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and programs for customer acquisition, development, and retention directed to multiple ethnic cultures including Hispanic, African American, and Asian, as well as other targeted consumer segments. The candidate will ensure Comcast is employing the appropriate messages, correct language, and media placement to the intended cultural segment. You will understand the unique attributes of individual ethnic groups to better inform marketing investment, develop relationships with programmers to extract value and support, and actively engage other ethnic marketing partners across Comcast to share best practices. Oversees marketing agencies and vendors to successfully deliver on these objectives. This important role will include strategy development, marketing communications planning, creative development, media planning, vendor management.

• Using quantitative and qualitative research, the Multicultural Marketing Manager will develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to acquire new customers for Comcast's video, high speed Internet, and digital voice products.
• Manage the execution process for a wide number of marketing communications tactics including direct mail, TV, radio, print, outdoor, online, email, collateral, event marketing, and grass-roots vehicles.
• Analyze customers segments to identify key demographics, psychographics, and insights and incorporate findings into segmented direct mail, tailoring the creative, message, and offer by segment.
• Work with Product Management team and external agencies and marketing services vendors to develop appropriate offers and marketing materials for print, on-air and online applications.
• Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams (with Product Management, Engineering, Finance, Call Center, etc.) to achieve business goals.
• Budget management including: identifying cost efficiencies in printing and creative development; vendor cost negotiation; overseeing co-op reimbursement
• Agency and vendor management.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have a strong marketing and/or analysis background, with a minimum of five years of experience in the cable television (or similar subscription-based consumer environment) industry. English and Spanish fluency a must (written and verbal). Requires knowledge of cable/telecom industry and a deep understanding of system operating strategies, tactics, processes and procedures. Previous competitive specialization is a major plus, as is a work history that reflects commitment, progressive achievement, focus, passion and vision. Significant proven analytical, strategic planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills are required. Ability to manage effectively in a matrix environment is critical. Must have excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills, and be a detail oriented self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines. Must be highly proficient in MS Office applications.
